My paintings respond specifically to the digital time of transformability, social media contexts and radical predominance of synthetic habitats. They represent enigmatic spaces infused with a set of characters maintaining fragments of narratives. Abstract manipulations create a fusion between a painting-like and a computer-generated representation. I explore a visual unawareness which gradually has been introduced by the advent of the digital age.
My paintings are abstract narratives that tend to assume an unfamiliar state of existence. A set of grotesque bodies and effects gives rise to the emergence of synthetic memes. They have been configured to be able to sense, heat, cool, change shape, to converse. I continually return to the subject which highlights the luminous presence, where a great amount of territory is given to seemingly unimportant, obscure figures. In diverse approaches to painting I find work takes on various forms intended to confront the viewer with fascinating fantasy figures.
